CASH is a singer / songwriter / pianist who grew up in the L.A. area as a "child prodigy" at classical piano. His talent took him to the Juilliard School, where he studied piano, voice and composition.

Under a pseudonym, Cash is the composer for over 35 albums of relaxation and wellness music albums which are held in very high regard and used by many prominent psychologists. He composed, produced and distributed the albums, which sold in excess of 100,000 copies in total to date.

One January morning in early 2015, Cash waited while his tires were being changed on his 2002 Cadillac Coup de Ville. He looked across the street and spotted a sign for an open mic on Wednesday night at The Guitar Merchant in Canoga Park, California.

Looking to get back to his roots as a performer, Cash showed up the next Wednesday.

He hadn't sang in years. Not wanting to risk "sucking", as he tells it, he played a classical piece first - "Malaguena".

Then he sang and played "Rocket Man" by Elton John.

He was an instant favorite.

The next week he brought in the "Revolutionary Etude" by Chopin, again, not wanting to potentially "suck". He followed that up with "Baby Grand" by Billy Joel and Ray Charles.

He brought the house down that night.

Yet, as he walked out that night, he felt guilty about playing classical pieces and cover songs. In his mind, this was a singer/songwriter open mic event.

Not to mention, he was out of covers that he knew well enough to get away with singing and playing...

So, that night, as he walked out, he turned to Phil St. Germain, the owner of the Guitar Merchant, and promised him that the next week he would bring in an original song.

And he did.

That was the beginning of his weekly tradition of writing a new song each Wednesday, going down to Guitar Merchant and performing that song, along with the song he wrote the previous week.

And he continues to write a new one each and every Wednesday, taking anywhere from 50 minutes to an hour and a half to write each song.

He often writes the song in a practice room at the Guitar Merchant, just before going onstage.

At this writing, Cash is on song number 92 next Wednesday. By the time you read this, it could be hundreds...

Look forward to Cash's new release, his debut pop album EP, entitled "Wakin' Up", going on sale April 19, 2017. Available on iTunes, CD Baby and
